I'm glad Rose being so wise and competent was not due to the Island. Rose is just that good.

Okay, alternate-timeline!Ben as a European History teacher who throws a hissy fit over the coffee grounds is the best thing this show has ever done.
That was AWESOME. I had been waiting to see what AlternaBen would be like.
Ben saying he was sorry he murdered Locke made me laugh for a full minute. I fucking love Ben.
ME TOO. "This is the weirdest funeral I've ever been to."
And Hugo - a seriously fucking happy Hugo would make me happy.
I loved Hugo so much!! He's so...Hugo.
So, little boy: Aaron? Ghost of young Jacob?
He looked Jacobean to me. But also Claire-esque, which could mean he's Aaron.
Richard being that scared really freaked me out.
Locke wants to kill everyone! And yet Jacob may be sort of a dickhole. I'm preeeeetty sure he's still supposed to be the good guy, but I don't know anymore. Also, Jacob loved numbers, and he loved the Numbers. But that probably doesn't mean anything. Unless it means everything.
I'm glad Rose being so wise and competent was not due to the Island. Rose is just that good.
I'm enjoying the alternate timeline for novelty's sake a lot more than I thought I would. I've stopped caring what the point is.
Weirdest dream last night. Something about Frank Lapidus having every molecule in his body rearranged and going home to make love to his wife, and because of the island he was all virile? and stuff, while his wife is all "Why bother, it'll only last two minutes" and then it turns out that the wife is young and Frank is old(er), and then she says something whacked about sorry for having to do it in front of a mirror, and it turns out Frank's wife is a guy in disguise on a secret mission. I guess this is what happens when I watch DW's The Runaway bride.
You know, it wasn't 'til I read the thread that I even remembered that we had the Crazy!Claire cliffhanger - THAT'S how much I love a good Locke episode.
It is sad that he has such a good life in the alterna-verse because I also think that it's all going to go to hell.
My question is: how did he break his back in this time line?
He couldn't have broken it under the exact same circumstances because he isn't particularly bitter now (and he was before he got on the plane).
You noticed that Locke has a good relationship with his father this time around? I'm thinking Sawyer's parents aren't dead either...
You noticed that Locke has a good relationship with his father this time around?
I meant to say that -- when Helen is saying they should elope, and says they'll just get her parents and his father, I assumed that meant that Papa Locke didn't throw his son out a window in this reality, because that usually means you don't get invited to the wedding.
Did I miss it, or was Kate's name not on the wall?
I'm thinking Sawyer's parents aren't dead either...
I think the changes in the alterna-line have to come after the island was blown up. Sawyer's parents would have been killed in the mid 70s, right? (...and it just struck me that he should have been rushing home to prevent the murder-suicide from happening instead of living on the island with the Dharma bums.) But maybe I'm off. I'm not sure how old he's supposed to be.
I sure didn't see Kate's name. Maybe Jacob found her annoying, too.
