We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

I read in the paper this morning that the guy who blew himself up with the old dynamite way back when was on the plane, but I know I wouldn't recognize him now.

Artie? Was he the annoying guy chatting at Hurley on the plane?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

yup, the overly chatty guy asking hurley inapropriate questions and then looking quizzically at kate near the baggage claim. So what i really don't get tonight is why desmond was on the plane for a bit (just during the ambiguous timeline, i suppose) but shannon wasn't.

like jacob taking over sayid's body. if i were a dude, that would be one of my top choices. I don't like going back into Jack/Kate/Sawyer land.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Artz.

I have no spoilers for this season of "Lost", but the actress who plays Juliet is most definitely not a regular on "Lost" this season since she is on "V." Maybe she'll show up in an episode or two, but I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe Juliet will be like Penny, glimpsed once in a while.

So, there's this supposed alternate reality where not only was the Swan Station never built, and there was no magnetic disturbance to control with button pushing, perhaps Desmond never got marooned on the island --or if he did, there was no months/years of button pushing, and instead he fixed up his sailboat and made it back to mainland/civilization and continued with his life (probably Penny-less, which makes me snigger and cry at the same time).

Well, I wonder if we're going to see any of the tailies.

Or Paolo and Nicki...

First thing I thought of when I saw her and Bernard. Damn.

I'm wondering what the point of the AU is. I don't want them to waste half a season on a What If? universe if it's not going to really have a point.

It could just be a SLIDING DOORS kind of thing. That said...

I wonder if the timelines are going to converge somehow in order to not break causality too much.

...I think if things started bleeding through it could be a lot of fun.

It seems significant that in the AU timeline, Jack's father's coffin (and body) got "misplaced," as did Locke's suitcase of knives. Because those were notable in S1 -- the (empty) coffin, as well as Locke finding his suitcase o'knives.

Yes, in S1 they found more luggage than just that, but I still think it's noteworthy that those specific things disappeared in the AU timeline.

Also, they need to give Ben more to do than just react to weird shit.
