Love Locke like he is now. Must be a reward for some of the crap Terry O' Quinn had to do in prior seasons that he just didn't get.
Also, I've been meaning to comment (for MONTHS now) how much I love the music for this show. Very, very Bernard Hermann-esque, without being a totally blatant ripoff (though I hear lots of echoes of PSYCHO - the incidental music, not the stuff from the murder scenes).
The music almost made me jump out of my skin when Ben was going into Alex's room! Yikes.
Also: I love me that Desmond. Man, I've missed him. Penny too.
Go Desmond! And little Charlie, with the inadvertant save.

Excellent article. The music on LOST rarely brings me out of the show, but when I notice it, I can't help but admire it.
Yes, LOST is THE most batshit insane show on television.
I seriously thought they might actually kill off Ben. And I was going to be somewhat okay with it, which surprised the fuck out of me. But instead the Island decided to give Ben a fate worse than death: to follow John fucking Locke. The mentor has become the manatee!
Who called that Ben was going to try to kill Penny?
(And while we're at it, how did Desmond survive being shot like that? Was he wearing a bullet-proof vest or something?)
