Okay, wait. Jack said to the doctor talking to him, "Go get my dad. If I'm drunker than him, you can fire me."
But these scenes were clearly flashing *forward* so leaving the island really must have dire consequences, I guess? Rewriting history kind of consequences?
Yeah, Jack wasn't looking like the "young Jack" during this ep. Not at all.
Amy, I thought Jack was making a statement that he knew was "ironic." I figured his dad was dead at that point.
Or Jack was so drunk he didn't remember.
But the doctor he was talking to hadn't been there very long, he said. So he probably wouldn't know who Dr. Shepherd senior was, would he? By the time this happens in the future, at least a year has to have passed since the crash, if not more.
I don't know. It's a crazy theory! That's the fun!
This ep had a pretty high body count.
Now, can they change the outcome? Was that a possible future? Who was Naomi working for? Where's Jack Bauer when you need him?
So, the actor playing the chief surgeon looked REALLY familiar. I think I even can see him in scrubs -- who the heck was that?
Why did you choose to spoil yourself for this episode? Because you were afraid it wouldn't be worth bothering about?
I just really, really wanted to know what happened. I wasn't expecting flash-forward when I read the spoilers, that's for damn sure.

Me, too.
Do you guys think it was Sawyer's funeral? That nobody came to?
I thought it might be Locke's. But Sawyer makes more sense.
