What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I swear, why do they always say that kissing women tastes like strawberries?

It did give me a brief flicker of hope that Evil!Willow would pop up and drain all the life energy out of Sawyer.

What bugs me is that Sawyer is suddenly a fighting-ability-detecting person, when he hasn't previously exhibited much in the way of interest or ability in that area.

The writers seem to have forgotten that it's Sayid and Kate that have actual military training (albeit unofficial in the latter case). Last time I checked, Sawyer came out on the wrong end of fights with a yuppie neurosurgeon and an angry hobbit, which does not make me share his confidence about being able to beat some martial arts-skilled guard.

Art Crawl!!!

Was it here or at TWOP -- I think at TWOP somebody suggested that Jin would have had a military background because South Korea has a mandatory draft type thing AND that given his background he'd have been a good candidate for special forces. I know that I don't know enough about Korea or the average modern South Korean to judge the validity of that idea.

I am okay with Sawyer thinking he knows who he can take and whatnot, but Kate's complete lack of badassery is really grating. I'm assuming that chick-in-the-bushes (was that Alex?) is part of whatever game is being played on Sawyer and Kate.

I don't know what Ben's up to with Jack, so that's interesting, at least.

I always like the Sun and Jin show, whether it advances the story or not. Unexpected that Sun's dad didn't tell Jin.

What is even happening?

Well, Jin knew how to handle a semi, so maybe we'll learn he was in the military at some point.

I fanwanked it thusly: Sawyer has probably been in a lot of fights, because of his oh-so-winning personality. Whether he's generally a winner or a loser, I can find it believable that he would try to suss out their skills. Also, as a con artist, he would probably be used to causing things to happen, in order to get a good read on the people he was considering as marks. This time, he was judging how well they fought, rather than if they were sympathetic, easily fooled, skeptical, lonely, etc.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You think so? Given what we've seen of Alex, I think she's working against the Others, not with them. That they have her dress suggests she was captured before.

What is even happening?

She read like a big faker in that scene with Kate, I thought.

She was with the Others when Claire was captured, wasn't she? I think it's all play-acting for Sawyer and Kate's benefit, at this point. The Others aren't having rocks broken up because they need broken up rocks, that much I'm sure of.

They could just buy broken-up rocks from Amazon, after all.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

didn't she help Claire escape from The Others though?

Yeah, and I now suspect that that was part of the Others plan all along.
