He panicked.
I think Michael's been a few cards short of a full deck since Walt got taken, and that his visit with the others pushed him into a full blown game of 52-pickup.

I'm right where le nubian is...just along for the ride.
Franken, I think you have a valid point. I had forgotten that he knocked out Locke to get a gun.

Does that boxcar hold three?
come on. get in!
Choo, choo!
So, these 4 people that Michael is supposed to bring back - are they the good ones? Ooooh, they've all had hallucinations - Jack and his dad, Hurley and Dave, Kate and the horse, and, um, didn't Sawyer see Kate's horse? Or something?
Sawyer had the thing with his murder victim taking a porcine form to torment him.
Presuming the show went the usual 3 minutes past the hour, I missed the last 8 minutes. After Michael got the list it was just the funeral and the boat?
I think that's all, aurelia. Funeral, Hurley agreed to go with Michael, then boat.
I am not so observant and my memoey is questionable at best, so take that for what it's worth.
How did Michael convince Hurley to go?
Hurley was giving a eulogy for Libby ("She was a psychologist... or maybe a psychiatrist... uhhh.... She helped people..."). He was, understandably, getting very emotional and at a loss for words. At the end of it, he turned to Michael and said, "I'm going with you."
