That's what I was thinking - that the list was an arbitrary group of names to see if Michael could get just those four to come with him.
I was meaning the blood and the questions about Walt, but yeah to what you said, too.
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

I don't think taking the blood was a head game. If they're trying to make Michael believe that they're poorly armed and living in huts, why would they expose the fact that they have a blood lab?
TAR won for me last night. Can somebody give a recap of Lost?
Instead of flashbacks to people's life pre-crash, they kept on going backwards and forwards from Michael's capture by the others, to the present day to two weeks ago. It was confusing.
Michael gets a gun and goes to the Others' campsite. Where he sees Walt and then Walt is carried away from him. (Walt has grown.) Some woman at the campsite asks specific question regarding Michael and Walt and draws some of Michael's blood.
Oh, earlier Michael was talking about going after the Others and Hurley had a meltdown because the episode starts IMMEDIATELY after the last one and Ana Lucia and Libby haven't even been buried yet.
No one knows what happens. Hurley and Kate just start digging and like, Sun and Jin are on the beach and she sees Michael and they all greet each other and then she sees Kate and the bodies. (Okay, that's what it seemed like to me, but I watched my tape pretty late last night. Had to watch Alias first.)
Umm, Eko has taken over Locke's role of computer-entering Patsy. Vincent brings Charlie a state of the Virgin Mary and he finds the stash and tosses them all out to see.
Locke takes off his leg brace and walks off into the wild.
Michael was charged by blood-drawing lady to bring Jack, Sawyer (James Ford), Kate and Hurley to her. He asks for Walt and a boat in exchange.
Sayid tells Jack that they shouldn't go after MIchael. It's a trap. And he can tell that Michael is lying.
Also, one of the Others is a young woman named Alex who seems overly interested in Aaron.
Charlie took some sort of vaccine (lots of it) and gives it to Claire for herself and the baby.
They have the funeral. While they are all gathered at the gravesite (on the BEACH!) - a sailboat appears.
It looked to me like the sailboat was empty.
It did look empty.
Also, not very big.

Wasn't Alex the one who set Claire free from the med hatch? That could explain some of the interest. Also was there was some strange exchange between Alex and the guy about smacking Michael on the head in the "13 days ago" flashback (when they let Kate go)?
There was a lot in this ep that had surface continuity but when I thought about it made me go huh? And the sail boat did indeed look empty. Or at least there was no one steering.
Yeah, it seemed like she didn't want to hit Michael on the head.
Do you think she knows that her mother is on the island?
Wasn't Alex the one who set Claire free from the med hatch?
Yep. I loved that she asked about her.
Vincent rules. "Here, Charlie! I found some heroin! Come on, Charlie!!"
I havren't been able to keep track of Charlie's heroin. I thought he had a stash in the jungle, still. It was good to see him throwing the statues out to sea, though I can't help thinking that right after someone else needed narcotics is a bad time to clean house.
I liked that the one line about Michael not knowing much about Walt echoed what the lawyer said to him during the custody hearing. Adds to the messing with Michael's head theory.
It really bugs me that they are digging these shallow looking graves in the sand. Funny what will snap my disbelief suspension.
