I hear ABC actually fired the actresses over the DUI thing, which is why they both just happened to get shot.
OMIGOD. It's worse than I could have imagined, Michael's not working with the Others, he's working for the MOUSE!!!!!!
Granted, so's everybody else on the show...
reading Claire's flashback episode recap from early last season:
Claire faces facts and says she's six weeks late. She starts to make the bed as Thomas Kinkade stammers and stutters a bit more. But then he seems to take a stab in the dark and pitches to Claire the idea that they could make parenthood work. "My mom would disown me," Claire says, to which Thomas Kinkade points out she basically has already.
So we probably didn't actually see her mom before.
I need to break out my season 1 dvds.
Am I correct in remembering that Claire has only had 2 flashback episodes- the first one when she found out she was pregnant, and in cahoots with the creeptastic psychic guy, and the one a few episode ago when she was flashing back to her kidnapped time?
That's the way I recall it as well.
re-reading that recap, I guess Charlie was not considered one of the "good" ones, considering how he got all strung up by his neck and all?
Also in the recap (TWOP's by the way)
The attorney passes Claire a pen and tells her to sign; before she does, she asks Ms. Stewart if she knows the lullaby "Catch a Falling Star." "...and put it in your pocket," the adoptive mother replies. "My dad used to sing that to me when I was a little girl," Claire says. "Do you think you could sing it to the baby once in a while?" The Stewarts agree. I can tell this is a Hollywood legal proceeding, because in a real one the attorney would butt in and notify Claire that the contract does not in any way obligate the Stewarts to sing "Catch a Falling Star," or indeed any lullaby.
OK, that last part had nothing to do with Claire's parentage, but it makes me laugh, mostly because it makes me think of the Simpsons: "Please sign here to verify that you did not, in fact, save Itchy and Scratchy."
Well, she had a dad who was there and sang lullabyes to her.
Of course, her bio-dad could still be Christian Shepard.

I'm quite seriously against drunk driving, but shooting is a bit harsh. Unless they didn't really get shot IRL, in that case it's all good.
Except I didn't want Libby to die. Poor Hurley. He was going to be crushed anyway, so I suppose the death crush might be better than the betrayal crush.
The creators/writers of the show have claimed they planned the characters' deaths waaay back, but I'm taking that with a large grain of NaCl.
