re-reading that recap, I guess Charlie was not considered one of the "good" ones, considering how he got all strung up by his neck and all?
'Get It Done'
Lost 2: Tied to a Tree in a Jungle of Mystery
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Also in the recap (TWOP's by the way)
The attorney passes Claire a pen and tells her to sign; before she does, she asks Ms. Stewart if she knows the lullaby "Catch a Falling Star." "...and put it in your pocket," the adoptive mother replies. "My dad used to sing that to me when I was a little girl," Claire says. "Do you think you could sing it to the baby once in a while?" The Stewarts agree. I can tell this is a Hollywood legal proceeding, because in a real one the attorney would butt in and notify Claire that the contract does not in any way obligate the Stewarts to sing "Catch a Falling Star," or indeed any lullaby.
OK, that last part had nothing to do with Claire's parentage, but it makes me laugh, mostly because it makes me think of the Simpsons: "Please sign here to verify that you did not, in fact, save Itchy and Scratchy."
Well, she had a dad who was there and sang lullabyes to her.
Of course, her bio-dad could still be Christian Shepard.
I hear ABC actually fired the actresses over the DUI thing, which is why they both just happened to get shot.
I'm quite seriously against drunk driving, but shooting is a bit harsh. Unless they didn't really get shot IRL, in that case it's all good.
Except I didn't want Libby to die. Poor Hurley. He was going to be crushed anyway, so I suppose the death crush might be better than the betrayal crush.
The creators/writers of the show have claimed they planned the characters' deaths waaay back, but I'm taking that with a large grain of NaCl.

Yeah, creators/writers always do that when the show is on the air. Ten years from now, when they're doing hyper-commentaries for the "special anniversary holographic future-DVD remix edition" of Lost, they'll casually mention that MR and CW were shitcanned for drunk driving and they had two days to write in their deaths.
So, a bit of an update on the ARG:
I just called and got through, and was given a menu of options (white fonted on general principles):
"press 1 for general information, 2 for Alvar Hanso, 3 for Thomas (middlename) Middlewerk, 4 for Hugh McIntyre, and 5 for Phil Thompson. (I didn't write down any of the names). The only button I pressed was 5, which was for Hanso's Chief Legal Officer and Council or somesuch, Phil Thompson. Pressing 5 got you transfered to his voice mail, where a woman said Phil was unavailable, and if you wanted to comment on some particular matter, we regret to inform you... then the phone was taken out of her hands, and Phil Thompson came on and said "Whoever is making death threats against us, I warn you, we will find you, and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. (wryly) Namaste." Or words to that effect. I wish I'd had the presence of mind to write down more of what I was hearing. I've tried googling info from it all to see if anything shows up, but so far I'm coming up empty.
I've tried the number again since, and either don't get connected or get a busy signal.
UPDATED: I got through again a moment ago, got some of the names down, and tried the general info option this time. General info transfers you to an option that begins giving you Hanso's physical address, but before it finishes, static renders it inaudible, then "Persephone" breaks in and tells you not to believe the lies, and to use the password "breaking strain" at the website. I suspect Jess has things she's not telling us.
Here's the problem with their deaths (and that they were "planned" from the beginning)...
1) how will Hurley find out that he was stalked? Maybe she left behind a journal - which would be a good thing.
2) How will Jack find out he has a sister?
I would be awfully surprised if we don't get some of Libby's backstory.
BTW, on the island, A-L has killed 2 people that we know of. Is this what Henry was referring to?
