I'm with the folks who saw Ana driving. I remember wondering which side of the car Australia had their wheels on and seeing Ana with the wheel on the right side of the car.
ETA: I don't think so about Claire being Jack's half-sister. The woman didn't look old enough, and wasn't Claire living on her own before she left Australia anyway?
Didn't Jack's dad (whose name is apparently Christian, since I had forgotten that) die of a heart attack?
Ana-Lucia was definitely the driver, and Australian cars' steering wheels are on the right, like in the UK. (DH's parents used to have one when they lived in Hong Kong.)
I was about to post something about how the fact that Australians drive on the other side of the road was explicitly mentioned in the episode last night.
You know, when they won those cars at the end?
That was the last five minutes of the Amazing Race, of course.
It's weird how long my brain was able to keep those things consistent.
Yeah, see the people on TAR aren't LOST. . . they just don't know where they're going.
It's different.

If Claire is only 20something (and I'm thinking early to mid-20s), the blonde we saw Jack's dad confronting definitely looked old enough to be her mother. A-L is older than Claire, and her mom looked a similar age to the blonde.
What I'm trying to remember is if any of Claire's flashbacks mentioned her parents at all.
To sum up the HSQ, in the words of Steve Martin (in the MAN W/TWO BRAINS): "Man, your drunk driving tests are REALLY hard!"
I hear ABC actually fired the actresses over the DUI thing, which is why they both just happened to get shot.
It's supposed to be an immersion game a la the Cloudchasers thing they did for the movie A.I. I only jumped on that train in the last day or so, so I really missed all the fun. I want to jump on this one from the beginning.
Cloudmakers. I jumped on the last month. And there have been numerous ARGs since then (including one by many of the same Puppet Masters), but I haven't heard of any that surpassed the Beast.

OMIGOD. It's worse than I could have imagined, Michael's not working with the Others, he's working for the MOUSE!!!!!!
Granted, so's everybody else on the show...
reading Claire's flashback episode recap from early last season:
Claire faces facts and says she's six weeks late. She starts to make the bed as Thomas Kinkade stammers and stutters a bit more. But then he seems to take a stab in the dark and pitches to Claire the idea that they could make parenthood work. "My mom would disown me," Claire says, to which Thomas Kinkade points out she basically has already.
So we probably didn't actually see her mom before.
I need to break out my season 1 dvds.
