"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

But what was the thing that Sayid and Charlie were hauling crap out of the jungle to construct??? Dropped plot point, whatev.

Wait - do you mean the church that Eko and Charlie were constructing (which I assume they are still constructing)? I don't remember Sayid and Charlie teamed up.

cursory searching has yielded nothing.

I don't know what I'm talking about. Sorry.

I blame the NyQuil.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

There was Michael? My local station ended the feed abruptly after Sawyer fed his fingers to Vincent and there were running footsteps--but we didn't get to see the runner---was it Michael?

And Scorpy is a faith healer in the outback. Hmm. This is the first time I've (known of, at least) seen Pygram out of Scorpius-fu.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The runner collapsed practically at the feet of Jack & Kate and it was Michael.

Thanks, Jon!

Stoopit local station. Well, par for the course, really. Big-ass bugs over the important clue at the bottom of the screen. Running a "tornado warning" crawl and shrinking the screen and doing the beep-beep-beep delicate dialog interruptus. Stoopit local station.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This was a really sweet ep, Jack/Kate nonwithstanding. I love Rose and Bernard, and count me as also surprised that they were newlyweds!

(And a HUGE kudos to both actors for being able to pull off a Jin/Bernard scene without making me shout OMGGAVINANDHOLLANDARETALKINGTOEACHOTHER!!)

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Hee, Jessica, I didn't even think of that at all! In fact, what I was thinking through the whole episode was, this dude is Bernard. I don't see anyone else there at all. One of the few actors I don't automatically think of a different role they've played when I see them.

Because books.

Heh. That didn't ping me either. But DDK has totally become Jin to me now.

Loved Bernard and Rose. Loved loved loved Rose's "We both know it won't take that long, don't we?" to Locke, especially with the reveal of the airport encounter at the end.

And it may be just me, but I like Jack. I'd get caught in a net with him anytime.

Sweet episode. Rose and Bernard have so much more chemistry than Kate and Jack!

But why was everyone against Bernard's idea to make a huge sign? Seemed like a good idea to me.
