Hurley had me in tears tonight. His belief that "if this were all real, no girl like you would ever like me" reverberated in my brain and had me sobbing. (I'm still convinced that my best friend in college arranged for a guy to ask me to dance at the club on my 21st birthday, since it never happened before or since.)

Our wings are not tired.

It was a well done episode. The pain. And oh the pain when Hurley remembers or figures out that Libby was a patient.

When I was scrolling back to find who it was that called the Libby patient thing I noticed that Cindy was calling Dad 'o Locke as the original Sawyer in mid January. Not confirmed yet, but it is looking likely at this point.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The doctor was the creepy senator from X-Men. I've seen him in a couple other things as well.

I have to say I wasn't thrilled with this ep. The Libby/Hurley romance seemed kind of forced to me, especially the last scene on the cliff. I'm glad Hurley isn't dead, but...meh. I feel like we're supposed to assume they've been getting closer offscreen, but I just didn't buy it. Maybe because Libby gives me the creeps and I'd been assuming she was an Other all along.

What is even happening?

I missed the first 45 minutes of this episode due to small, cute, human error. We were out. Somebunny fiddled with the TiVo priorities, and there was a conflict, so Lost didn't record. We didn't catch it until 9:45. Can anyone give me the basics? I was so upset, I couldn't ask for 45 minutes. We're off to watch the 15 minutes we did catch, now, and then VM, so there's no hurry. Thanks

P.S. Do they rerun Lost at all, like they do VM?

They reran it a week or two ago, I think it was on Saturday night. Let me check out TV Guide and get back to you!

Cereal to add--just looked at the Friday and Saturday night entries, and it looks like it won't be on this weekend.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And Jin -- laughing and laughing at Hurley beating up Sawyer. . . that image of Sawyer crawling out of the collapsed tent and then being dragged back into it?

Hilarious!

I was going to post pretty much that exact statement! I laughed and laughed as much as Jin (especially at the dragged back part).

The doctor was the creepy senator from X-Men. I've seen him in a couple other things as well.

Also the original WILLARD so he cornered the creepy market years ago.

Maybe because Libby gives me the creeps and I'd been assuming she was an Other all along.

Well, there looks to be good reason for the creepifying at least.

I note Harold Parrineau is still in the main cast credits and it's been how many weeks now since he's been seen (granted, with the hiatuses, it might be less than I'm thinking)?

Thanks anyhow, Kathy. The only upcoming episode listed on our TiVo is the 4/12 episode. Darn.

I've just watched what we had of it, now. Our recording starts just as the doctor is telling Hurley that maybe Dave wants Hurley to stay fat, since even when Hurley was catatonic, he ate constantly. Then he showed Hurley the photo of with his arm around nobody. Then Dave slapped Hurley awake, and Hurley ended up locking him out of the hospital, and deciding he must be a delusion. We saw from this point, all the way to the end.

What I did see was good.

Because books.

The Libby/Hurley romance seemed kind of forced to me, especially the last scene on the cliff.

The scene didn't come off as forced to me, but I don't think the romance is genuine on Libby's part. When they walked away from the cliff, and Hurley asked if she thought he really could change, and she said yes, she fell a step or two behind him, and the look on her face was part disgust and part something very creepy/vindictive.

At least to me. And then it cut away to her in the hospital, so I'm thinking there's definitely something off there, since she looked like a spaced out complete loon.

So glad our Hugo's not gone, though. I love me some Hurley.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

And Jin -- laughing and laughing at Hurley beating up Sawyer. . . that image of Sawyer crawling out of the collapsed tent and then being dragged back into it?

Yes, this. I absolutely loved Sawyer getting his ass kicked, especially by Hurley. I mean, I like Sawyer, but he definitely deserved the ass-kicking. And I noticed Hurley seemed to be rattling off every nickname Sawyer has called him while he was beating the crap out of him.

The doctor was the creepy senator from X-Men. I've seen him in a couple other things as well.

That's where I knew him from. It was driving me nuts.

I'm not sure I'm buying the Hurley/Libby romance either, though if they were in the hospital together, it's possible she noticed him there at some point.
