Just because they find a balloon doesn't really mean that Henry isn't lying. It could be someone else's balloon. Maybe the real Henry Gale died and this guy took over his identity in order to infiltrate the Losties camp.

Yeah, all it means is that he knew it was there - and that it would make a cover story.

It's about A Girl's First Period. Which makes it incredibly hilarious for Sawyer to be reading.

What was Sawyer's line about how the book was? "Kinda predictable."

Which of course reflected on the main storyline, because Sun's period wasn't being predictable (aka, not showing up at all), which I presume is why she asked him for the pregnancy test.

I splurged at the Best Buy last night, so ended up taping Lost (and TDS/Colbert) to watch this morning so I could watch one of my new DVDs last night instead. If this ep wasn't interesting, I was seriously considering checking out of the rest of the season, but I'll be sticking around. Loved that we don't know if Sun cheated on Jin or if it's his baby (but miracles have happened before on this island, so it could very well be), and I still marvel at Charlie's ability to weasel his way into just about every field trip the Beachies make.

Well, I don't know why Sun would confess to Jin that it was he that couldn't have children and then lie to him about not cheating on him. It'd be easier to just not say anything. So I'm willing to believe her.

Meanwhile, back at the Hatch, there's another pair in need of couple's counseling: Jack and Locke. Their little scene in the steamy bathroom had a sparky marital charm to it. Jack pops out of the shower to find Locke shaving. (''Opens up m'pores.'') Locke immediately starts in with the undercutting, knowing there's no better time to razz a man than when he's naked. Ol' John probably turned down the thermostat, too, just to shrink his opponent into submission (a tactic that's straight from Sun Tzu's The Art of War, chapter 5: ''Kitchens and Bathrooms'').

Everybody thinks they've got the answers in this ep, but questions abound: Who does fly with a pregnancy test, anyway? And where exactly did Sawyer find it? What's Widmore Laboratories, the company that makes the test? According to a Lost podcast from producer Damon Lindelof, there was a sign for Widmore Construction in the background of a scene in ''Fire + Water'' a few weeks ago — what gives? Is it an extension of the Alvar Hanso-Dharma empire? What exactly is Sayid building, with Charlie as his labor force? (Looks like a big bamboo lattice, suitable for straining the giant tea leaves you need to read the future in this crazy show.)

Finally watched. Delighted that it was a Sun/Jin episode. The irregular schedule really ruins the flow of the show for me. I think I would enjoy it more in marathon viewing.

Henry is so wonderfully creepy. I liked when Locke was more creepy and less annoying. Don't know if he is Other, or just nuts. Could go either way.

Sad that Charlie's character is not entertaining.

I didn't remember the first season being this chopped up, but it probably was. Now I understand why so many people were put off that first season. I've loaned out my season 1 DVDs three times so far and people loved the hell out of it because they could watch it all at once and it hangs together so much better. I'm starting to think it almost might be more worth it to not even watch the rest of the season and just wait for the DVDs in September.

There was no reason regardless, as far as I'm concerned. It's a miracle island baby either way, right? So why even make him suspicious?

Charlie is such a tool, but I had to laugh when he barged in with breakfast for Ana and Sayid. Once a hobbit, always a hobbit I guess.

In random speculation, I'm going to say that Hurley owns a share of the Dharma Co. and Widmore.

Also, Mr. J and I thought the hobbit bringing second breakfast was a total shout out to LotR.

You could probably put coconut milk on your Dharma-Os.
