Well, turning your captors on each other is the oldest trick in the book.

Right. But, to me, it further supports the "he's an Other", which they need to resolve soon.
I think it supports the "he's a crafty prisoner." Even if he's not an Other, he's figured out they're not going to let him go anyway, so he has to resort to other tactics.
Psychological experiments need someone to observe and report, right? I think that's what he is.
I liked tonight's ep. I think it should have come earlier in the season.
I agree.
I think to many, this episode might be the kick-up-the-arse this season needs.
Didn't like Henry getting the best of Locke so easily.
I think Sawyer's getting the best of him really shook Locke up - I think he thought he had Sawyer's number (and he may have, which is why Sawyer was happy to make him look like a fool), but it turned out Sawyer had his. If this guy he's barely interacted with is voicing some things that Locke's been thinking himself about Jack, I could see it getting to him.
I agree with Franken. Locke keeps getting fucked with and his temper has been showing (Charlie).
I guess it just doesn't seem to flow smoothly with the whole "for now he does" Locke from the last ep. That Locke seemed pretty in control. Though I guess the stand-off over the timer might have shaken things up a bit.
I would have liked to see a smaller reaction from Locke. I buy that Henry would have piqued him with that statement, but throwing dishes around just didn't feel in-character for me -- I would have preferred to see it in his eyes during his next conversation with Jack.
This was a great ep. I loved that the flashbacks were all on-island! These were the best integrated flashbacks they've had all season.

Also, we learned stuff we didn't know before. Always a plus. I mean, if I enjoy the actor/character, I don't mind the flashbacks without anything particularly new, but it was nice to get a bunch of new info (and questions, natch). I really like that the raggedy-ass, pirate look is a put-on.
The one thing that will drive me crazy, and Claire was already doing it a bit with her flashbacks, is if they don't tell anybody else about what they've found out. Communicate, people!
