While I do enjoy the Scott/Steve mentions, this recent occurence was just weird and strange and seemed to protrude from the episode like a big sign saying "Oh look another Sceve joke". Meh.
I'm assuming that the logic behind Ana-Lucia mentioning the wrong name to Jack is that she got his name from other Beachies, who themselves are still having Sceve issues. Though if that's the case, imho they would have been better to have a little scene with Ana-Lucia calling Sceve by the wrong name or something, rather than an external conversation.
Maybe it'll seem less jarring after a few rewatches. Doubt it though.

You know how when you read the fortune in a fortune cookie but add "…in bed" to the end of it to make it more entertaining? I think Ana-Lucia probably adds "…with guns" to the end of her sentences for the same reason: "We should go clubbing…with guns." "This week is a good time for you to make some decisions…with guns."
Yeah, really. Ana should maybe think about not saying really anything much at all that ends in "...with guns" what with her particular history with this particular bunch.

I got slightly spoiled looking at the episode description (casting) but I was OK with it, but it may not be for everyone.
More Sayid backstory is ok with me.
