So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Some kind of IQ bomb that went off in the atmosphere this morning and blanketed the Earth with stupidity like nuclear winter?

I spent my morning writing pointless Manhunter fic, so I'm going to go with yes on that one.

I seem to have lost the love for that title.

I've spent all day dealing with people coming to me with problems similar to the CD-ROM drive = cupholder legend. And this sinus headache has me a little dead in the brain, so it's taking me a little longer than usual to figure out that we're lost inside of a paper bag.

Time for mental flamethrowers!

information libertarian

It is Budget Time, which means my boss' brain has entirely evaporated. She's so overwhelmed by the whole idea that she basically wants me to do it for her. (We have a really easy budget, so I could, but damn it, if I'm going to spend that much money I'm going to raise my salary first of all.) I must find a way to escape before the annual "how do I print an excel file" freakout occurs. I have already mentioned to her that we have Excel for Dummies at the Reference Desk. Two copies.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

All right, who got dog hair all over my keyboard and mousepad?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really don't wnat to deal with my school work, which I know is a Bad Plan. At least I've finally gotten to the planning stages. And crap, I just remembered I was supposed to do laundry today. I guess it can wait until Sunday.

Now my left hand is all shaky and I don't know why. I was just on the phone for a while, and then hand-wrote a page of stuff, but still. It's weird.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

No.

Looks obscene, but isn't.
