Palo Alto, and no. Leland Stanford got a big ass land grant way back when, and founded the university. I think the family or maybe it's a foundation by now, stills owns a lot of Palo Alto.

It's a little complicated, because Stanford also is a geographical location that is separate from but adjacent to Palo Alto. So people can live in Stanford.
