So, is Stanford University in Stanford or in Palo Alto? Is there a Stanford other than the university?

It's a little complicated, because Stanford also is a geographical location that is separate from but adjacent to Palo Alto. So people can live in Stanford.

My fun task of the moment, writing captions for 64 ski vacation pictures that are generic enough to appeal to many people and yet interesting enough to kinda have a marketing pull.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There is no humor in these captions

Appealing to many BORING people.

There's a reason I'm in the target demographic for despair.com and not the products they parody.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Stanford related stuff--I just got back from Thanksgiving holiday in NJ with my mom and her new husband, and a visit to my brother and SIL's house for the holiday itself. SIL's niece (a Stanford grad) just got married last summer, so they showed me the DVD of her wedding pics (gorgeous outdoor wedding on a mountaintop in Idaho--beautiful pics!).

While talking about the wedding, SIL and her sisters were telling me about the couple's refusal to play blackjack if they go to a casino. Apparently, they are both math majors who are so talented that they automatically count cards while playing, and they can't turn their minds off when they start gambling. Since they're so ethical, they just refuse to play.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My fever just came back.

It's msbelle's fault, right?

NO!

I wanted you to go home and go to bed in order to get better. I think it is THE MAN'S fault.
