It's interesting and not jumbled at all Jesse.

Natter 40: The Nice One
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I think it's a sensible perspective, Jesse.
Can I make a suggestion or would that be all @@?
Thanks, you guys (even Concusso-Girl), and I would love a suggestion. Especially one from someone who can actually do this kind of thing well.
Oh goody!
Okay. I think to illustrate your points, you could pick a film or book from each decade (or era) that illustrates the particular societal pressure at the time. If you can find two conflicting films/books from each decade (or era), all the better. I think when you look at popular film in given times, you can get a decent picture of the undercurrent societal pressures. You could do it with iconic heroines of each given time.
I just like illustrating those sorts of points which can become soapboxy with either humor, or something outside the expected box.
ETA: Unless that's totally outside the parameters of the paper. In which case, I shut up now.

Oh man, that would be super interesting. Sadly, I'm both almost out of time (have to be done in a couple of hours) and out of space to talk (it can't be more than 650 words, and I have that already). But I will see if I can't punch it up some.
Actually, Allyson, could I email you my draft?
Absolutely. I'll get the feedback to you quickly.
