I look more rad than Lutheranism

Also I have discovered a brilliant new plan to vary my turkey sandwiches. Serve them on toast! Bow before Zim! the sandwich!

No sandwich should taste this delicious!

I need to forage for dinner, myself. I'm thinking I'ma order in tonight. Indian, perhaps. Mmm. Yes. Lamb Korma. And naan!

Mmmmm, naan. t homer

This cold is kicking my butt. I have mostly been asleep or hopped up on cold meds. (Sometimes both at once.) Noe I am trying to do laundry, because the pile is threatening to take over.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hola! I just ate some popcorn, but I'm afraid that won't be enough dinner, which is ridiculous considering how much I've eaten in the last five days.

Happy Thanksgiving you crazy Americans with your extra holidays! C'mon, you can tell me, you guys just crammed it in before Christmas for an extra day off, right?

I've got to say, I think it's annoying that the two big Christian American family holidays are so close together. I just saw all those people!!

My mom always used to say that "in the stomach you can't feel that it doesn't look so pretty". I'm sure it's yummy.

This was a common theme of my weekend, although I like to say, "You're just going to chew it!"

(Except for what looks like Brussels Sprouts, ew.)

BRUSSELS SPROUTS YUM.

Hey, ita, have you seen this Jamaican magazine called First? There's a thing about it in Vanity Fair because all the tourists apparently love it, even though it isn't for them.

Happy Belated Birthday, Daisy Jane!!!!!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd never heard of it, Jesse, but I just googled it. I can't say it's something I see my parents reading, but now I want to ask them about it.

Okay, must take out garbage and maybe tidy a wee bit before company comes over.

Yeah, yeah. I was trying to hurry so I could actually get the post posted. What I mean to say is the one big US family holiday and the one big Christian family holiday. Neither of which needs to include blood relatives.

Fourth of July isn't a big US family holiday?

^^sincere question, not nit-baiting^^

Hmm. That trash doesn't seem to have taken itself out. What's up with that?

No. I mean, it's often a get-together holiday, which could include family, but they aren't a key factor. I would say.

And that's not covered by your "not blood relatives" clause? So it's that you get together with people you're less close with?

information libertarian

Tons of people travel to be with family on Thanksgiving. Very few on the 4th of July. Partly because the 4th could be a random Wednesday, and you always get 4 days for Tday.

Shrek=too scary for my kid.

Like flea said. To me, Thanksgiving is about making a point to get together with your family, however you describe that. If you even have a party for 4th of July, it's usually for people nearby, who are sometimes family, but you wouldn't travel to see your family because it's the 4th. You might travel because it's a long weekend.
