But we also have, in Allyson's words, Sneezy, Wheezy and Woozy in the house. So, since Teh Sick seems to have descended and since the island is on the verge of quarantine, maybe no room to be jealous.
Plus, I have this damned paper to finish.
'Smile Time'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

That would be more of a factor if I wasn't being brutalized by teh sick already. I could be Sniffly.
Going farther than the kitchen has kind of lost the shiny though so I'd need a teleporter.
I just came back from braving the shopping areas (I had to pick up some more Bernat Disco fun fur yarn for a 8yo-niece scarf) and mostly through luck realized that I'm in time for the 1:30 yoga class. Whee! And I may be able to fit in a quick visit to the big craft show over at Somerville High, too. Saturday is definitely looking up...
Alas to the hard-boiled egg suggestion, which would be very nice except I've never cared for the taste of them -- to me, they taste entirely differently from scrambled and/or omeleted eggs. There must be some chemical difference in the way they firm up or something. Does anybody else notice that?
They taste different to me, but I use milk in scrambled eggs plus lots of other stuff in omelets—not sure if the flavor difference is from the eggs themselves or the additives.
As an egg-hater, I cannot be around people eating boiled eggs because they all smell rotten to me. I won't eat fried or scrambled eggs, but if there is a smell, it doesn't really bother me.
They (hard-boiled eggs) smell and taste sulphury to me. Egg-salad is out for the same reason.
Unfortunately, all dairy is out for me, so no milk with cereal, et cetera.
How about soy milk with cereal? If you have a costco in your area you can get a case of co-branded Silk vanilla flavored soy milks (One of the better soy milks; of course many hate soy milk; but if you don't the costco variety has the add advantage that each carton requires no refrigeration until opened.)
Alternatively you could get Kashi go lean cold cereal which contains lots of complete protetin. That will work not only with soy milk, but with rice or almond milk since you don't need to get your protein from the milk, there is enough in the cereal.
So if you can find a faux milk you can stand ...
Yeah, a lot of the soy milks I've tried have had that bitter soy undertaste to them, or else they have rice flour (also a less-severe allergy for me) for body. I've never tried almond milk, which I've heard can be pretty good.
The whole protein thing would be so much easier if I could eat some cheese with/for breakfast. Le Sigh.
Got back from Arkansas late last night. Was good to see the in-laws and MiL made a lovely dinner. I'm going to have buttermilk pie for breakfast I think.
What about peanut butter? I've operated on the assumption that it's high in protein-- I lunch on pb & bagel frequently (high in protein, fat and carbs). A handful of soy nuts might be good as well.
