We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I did some filing, read some fic, and realized I should have gone to the office when someone called me at 3 pm about an appalling error I'd made. Sigh.

Now I'm doing some writing while watching a Tivo'd thing about The Crusades.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I got nothing of import done, but at least managed to break my string of rotten holiday meals (sub-par Thanksgiving buffet Thursday lunch; bag of noodles Thursday dinner after discovering even McDonald's was closed; slimey vegetable sandwich and split-pea soup at Mediterranean grocery for lunch today) by eating at a very good Thai place.

I've been trying to finish my tape of Bedrooms and Hallways since last night, but just cannot get into this movie. And considering it features James Purefoy having an affair with another guy, that's damning indeed.

I tried very hard to do homework, but I just couldn't concentrate. So instead I got some work done on the present for my friends who had a baby... oh, is it two months ago now? Oops.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

La la la....

Where is everyone?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I was asleep, fwiw. Now I'm awake.

Bulletins in my condition as it changes....

['on my condition' would make more sense, yes? I plead holiday sleeping-late-ism.]

we are up and at 'em early for a holiday weekend. I could have easily slept 2 more hours.

Today is empty out and move old entertainment center, and then assemble and fill up new entertainment center.

Other tasks that we might get to today:

picking up a box to ship a bike in
getting to the vet to buy catfood
planing the tops of 3 doors that stick
hanging a new mirror
taking out all the Christmas decorations
starting my holiday cards.

It is amazing the difference 2 extra bodies and pairs of hands can make.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yes, we are up early. I may still go back to sleep though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think I'll be going back to sleep.

And I'll certainly be doing nothing as energetic or as proactive as msbelle. Talk about crazy people.

Hey! not crazy. I must make good use of my visiting family, plus doing things makes my dad happy. He is already off returning a handtruck to the rental place.
