So glad I have a 4-day weekend.
Wish I felt like I had a 4-day weekend.
By Monday I have to have a draft of my Independent Study (about 30 pages), which I currently only have an outline for.
By Wednesday I have to have a detailed (6-8 pages) outline of my final paper for another class, a 3-5 page paper on blogs as a form of media, a presentation prepared, and two quizzes answered (2 pages of writing each).
That's about 45 pages of writing between now and next Wednesday. Thank goodness it can be double-spaced!
edit: Bye, Nilly!
Yikes, VW. Good luck with that! I have a lot of writing to get done this weekend (hopefully Friday), but it's all for fun, so not so much with the pressure.
Yeah, pressure's a good word for it. I'm feeling it right now. But, mostly they are drafts, so it doesn't have to be perfect. Still, it's a lot.
Happy Thanksgiving you crazy Americans with your extra holidays! C'mon, you can tell me, you guys just crammed it in before Christmas for an extra day off, right?
But, seriously, I know what you mean, and feel it myself. And it's not even that I'm blocked, it's just that I lost the talent of finding the time. And I don't even catch up anymore.
This. So very much.
t waving at everyone
Know what I have in the oven right now? A Thanksgiving Pie. Yummm...Apple cranberry brown sugar cinnamon and walnuts...
Happy Turkey Day!
I have the day off. Why am I awake?

[Edit: and an early wave to tommy.]
And now, after 4 hours of TAing, I can post: Happy Thanksgiving, UnUnAmericans! Happy Thursday (and Friday and Saturday), everybody!
Also, since I'm not sure how long I'm going to have a computer access this weekend, I'm going to post already that according to the Buffista Calendar, Saturday, the 26th, will be Daisy Jane's birthday, and send her lots of early wishes.
Hi Nilly! What's the weather like there? It's cold (21F) and windy here.
What's the weather like there?
Well, on Monday it was (relatively) autumn-y, with around 50-60F, I guess (I'm not so good with the converting), and lots of wind and rain. Today it's all back to the different kind of autumn, with something around the 75-85, all sun and dry.
We practically never get temperatures as low as yours. Maybe in Jerusalem or up north (um, "up" again in Israeli standards, so not that far up), in mid-winter. Here, around the center and relatively close to the beach, things are milder winter-wise.
