I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

All you Dallas haters make me sad.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

(a paper bag--Cat Heaven!)

Also crumpled-up aluminium foil. Yes.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm at work today. I'll be at work Friday. Mostly I'll be at work Friday because it gives me an excuse not to spend that day washing windows at my parents' place that doesn't come down to, "I don't want to. You have some money--hire someone." Which is my real reasoning, but doesn't parse into a happy Thanksgiving.

I'd be a lot more productive at work if my coworkers--who are scheduled to be here today, damn it--actually showed up so I could get the stuff they're supposed to do and use it to finish up my job before a) I leave for Thanksgiving or b) my head explodes.

Must not go SHRIFT SMASH. Must not let the bastards win.

Win schmin. Shrift Smash. It'll probably be good for your blood pressure and it'll serve 'em right.

I may be projecting a wee bit.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Allyson, do you need me to come by and play with Ruby once or twice?

I am enjoying the relative quiet of two kids playing. In a few short hours, there will be four children in the house, ages 7, 5, 2, and 7 months. All I'm planning on doing today is bake pumpkin bread, maybe make the creamed spinach, run a couple annoying errands on campus, and get my hair colored (if possible).

If it weren't for that third item, it'd be a stress-free day.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Allyson, is there anyone else who could maybe stop in one day and play with kitty for a bit?

Actually, them getting me to the Shrift Smash point is very bad for my blood pressure. Especially as it turns out that I'm being harassed for something we do not have. So they're all flipping out like mammals, and there's nothing I can do. There's your status update, huffy snappish lady!

Instead of smashing, I have put on my "Songs for the Homicidal Maniac" iTunes playlist. And I'm going to breathe. Breathe. Breeeeaaaaaathe.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Aw, Burrell, I wish i had time to get my key to you. My tub is clean, I got a supply of LUSH, you could take a kid vacation and have a bubble bath at my place for the price of giving my kitty fresh water.

Coding and Sleeping

"Songs for the Homicidal Maniac"

What's on that list?

Always by Saliva, One Step Closer by Linkin Park, Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Also at work today. Will be at work Friday. I'm told that I may be the only person in the division who will be here on Friday.

Me in charge -- a scary thought, even if it is likely to be the quietest day of the year.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ruby will be fine, Allyson, and love you forever once you get back (except for a possible I hate you period which will last about 5 minutes).

Bizarrely, I am ahead of schedule. My suuitcase is in my car, everything else is ready, and I don't have to leave for about 20 minutes.
