Just checked with HR on the number of vacation days I have left for the year. I thought I had 2. Turns out I have 5 1/2. Coolness! I also have 1 1/2 personal days. Woot!
Oh, I have tons of vacation left, and a floating holiday, but it's really mostly because I don't think I've submitted a time sheet in six months. Oops.
I'm trying to find cheap tix to go home for my mom's 50th. I really wanted her to come here, but it looks like she's wiggled out of it.
But this means spending xmas alone, too. And that always makes me blue.
ETA: Which isn't a desperate request to spend an awkward holiday with anyone's family.
Oh good--he's here.
Yowzah, that In Style picture is gorgeous. Thank you!
I'm not really sure how I feel about goat cheese either, I haven't really eaten it much.
MmmmmMMMMMMmmmm, goat cheese...
Like on the 3rd?
Hmmm. That might be problematic - it's Em's birthday party. Maybe a dinnery thing? I'd suggest the 4th, but I know you teach that morning.

I second that. I love goat cheese. I had a wild mushroom and chevre omelet on Sunday that was really yummy.

It must be too soon for her to have a birthday party. You should check the calendar.
Early dinner on the 4th should work...
it's Em's birthday party
Huh? Em can't be a year old. She was just born.
Timelies all!
I do not get Friday off, and am not taking it off since we'll be in town for Thanksgiving.(first time in a number of years for me) G does get the day as a holiday, which he needs. (He was at work until after 10 pm last night. That's not right)

it
is
soon enough, since I got her a remarkably cute present. (which of course I won't mail in time for her actual birthday)
