I had that done to both eyes. It wasn't that bad. They gave me valium.
Did you have the lasik surgery? They discovered a little bit of bleeding at the back of my 'problem' eye.
I'm pretty sure I would require valium before I would be able to keep my eye open while they lasered it.

I'm pretty sure I'd need several shots of whiskey plus a mallet to the back of the head before I'd be able to keep my eye open for lasering.

I did have lasik. The amount of valium they gave me made me remarkably blase about holding my eyes open while a teeny sharp knife sliced open my cornea so the laser could then shoot into my eyeball. The discomfort level was certainly bearable and the valium was AWESOME.
I'm glad they seem to have found the problem. Will the laser cauterize and stop the bleeding? That will clear things up for you, yeah?
Timelies all!
I went to see Elizabeth with my then-boyfriend who's a SCAdian and he complained about the inaccuracies the rest of the weekend. Oops.
(He loved Shakespeare in Love, though. Probably since it didn't pretend to be accurate.)

Naw, this is something new. The bleeding is the result of my body trying to route blood flow around the clot. The clot itself can't be fixed with the laser.
The bleeding didn't make my vision worse, but it resulted in a shitload of floaters.

Oh, yeah, that I could totally suspend belief for.
Although the bits that they did include--like the character of Philip Henslow (there really was a theatre owner by that name and the actor, Ned Allyn, married his daughter) made me happy.

Gah. That sucks.
Ay yai, tommyrot. Good luck.

Thanks. If I understand correctly, a certain amount of bleeding is OK, but if there is too much it can cause problems, which is why they wanna deal with it right away. My retina is not detached or torn or anything (which is another side effect of what I have), which is good.

That's good. I hope it goes well. Remember to ask for a valium for the road. In my case, my mother was driving me home from the surgery so it was really a necessity.
For some reason today I have a flood of spam with zip attachments.
Our IT guy says it's a new virus.
