My mom doesn't drive and she loves movies, as do many of her friends. For $20 a month, she gets films delivered to her door, including obscure foreign and classic films she could never have seen otherwise. She has friends over to share films on a regular basis, and because she knows what's coming, instead of depending on what might be on the shelf at the rental store when she walks in, she can invite folks over in advance. These once a week movie nights are one of her favorite social things she does since my dad died, so I think Netflix rocks.

Gus, try picking on Sony instead.
And a belated Happy Birthday! to DX.
Thanks, aurelia.
Though come to think of it, Rolf the Dog is already based on Waits.
Seriously?
Yep. 70s Tom Waits, though.
Nope, he can't possibly be. Rowlf first appeared on the Jimmy Dean Show (yes, the sausage guy used to be a singer) back in the early sixties, ten years before Waits's first album came out. Waits was only 14 when Rowlf started pounding away on his piano.
I was just coming to post that I really wish I wasn't awake.
Still wish it, but at least now I know about the Jimmy Dean show and Rowlf, which is cool.
HEY! Perkins, yet again, we're awake at the same time. Though I don't feel like ass today. And I went to sleep early last night due to raging headache.
But I got to see Alibelle (all of you should be jealous x 10) and I bought tickets to Florida and am looking to see if we should, in Feb, fly from Dublin to London for 2 days or from Dublin to Brussels.
Thoughts anyone?
I got to see Alibelle (all of you should be jealous x 10)
I'm jealous x 17, for the record.
if we should, in Feb, fly from Dublin to London for 2 days or from Dublin to Brussels
Why not?
You people who are (already? still?) awake make me question my timezones calculations.
already, not still in my case. I actually have slept 8 hours.
OH! And I can't decide if we should go to London or Brussels. Not both. I think London cause easier. But Brussels I know better. Though it's been over 12 years since I've lived there.
I actually have slept 8 hours.
Yay for a good night sleep!
I think London cause easier. But Brussels I know better.
For me, the "know better" will be a point in favor of London, the less-known city. More new things to see and experience, right?
But Lori's never been to either.
