I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

Still waiting for someone to address the Netflix dishonesty.

Didn't ita's cut and paste from (what I assume is Netflix service agreement) do that? The fact that they state their policy so that I can find it if I want to pretty much clears up #1 for me.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Ok. We are getting into cross-posts, here. Give me a moment to go back.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sorry--you're right, Jen. Netflix terms of use.

Ok. I have read the policy statements.

The lawyers among us will say this is enough. Caveat, frakin' emptor!

Here is the thing, though: The bills will keep coming, even if you do not want the items offered.

And? If they're providing a service you don't want, stop buying the service. I don't have sympathy for people who spend money on anything they're not getting value from. You can't fault the company for that.

I don't see why you're mad at them for having some stupid consumers. I can't imagine any service provider/vendor that doesn't have any. They can't all be bad guys.

Also -- you haven't actually explained the lack of ownership angle. Do they not own the DVDs?

Are you ready to be strong?

Can I just wedge in here for a sec to ask what "The Nice One" refers to?

OKthxbye.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Heh. Whatever it comes from, with Bitches somehow becoming kerfuffle central the past few weeks, it seems to have been prophetic.

The bills will keep coming, even if you do not want the items offered.

If I don't want the items offered, I won't sign up for the service, or I will cancel it. Then the bills will stop. Again, that's up to me. I can cancel and re-sub at will with Netflix with no penalty. That's part of why I like it. Up to me to make sure I do it intelligently to maximize my dollar and the rental period it covers.

Actually, I never started, but I take your point.

I don't see why you're mad at them for having some stupid consumers.

I'll just let that one sit there.

you haven't actually explained the lack of ownership angle. Do they not own the DVDs?

That one was very weak. My point was about them being a distribution channel, rather than a creator, and I presented it in a lame way.

Always Anti-fascist!

Jen, sadly, seasons one and two of Homicide are short...that's why the one box. Because being a network exec, like crime, makes one stupid. Which is sad because they are the best, imo. (Are you not getting A&E's sets?)
