Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

somehow I don't think he is going to bust out crying in the middle of a press conference.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It seems that FoxNews has been much rougher on him lately too.

Rupert Murdoch is nothing if not an opportunist. He's just as fawning to the Communists in China as he is to the Republicans, because it's good for business.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I see him as more likely to have a Captain Queeg-style breakdown. It makes me want to send him a gift set of large ball bearings in time for his next fireside chat.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I wonder if the current administration has become enough of a liability for the Republican party for impeachment discussions to be happening behind closed doors?

There are polls on impeachment.

Admittedly, not the most disinterested source for the story.

More (earlier) rumors about Bush's mental state: [link]

Last year Capitol Hill Blue reported that Bush was taking anti-depressant drugs to control his erratic behavior, depression and paranoia. "Bush's mental stability has become the topic of Washington whispers in recent months. Capitol Hill Blue first reported on June 4 about increasing concern among White House aides over the President’s wide mood swings and obscene outbursts." That was entertaining stuff, but it was just CHB being CHB. Good for some laughs, but that's all.

...

Needless to say, all of these stories are sourced anonymously and there's no telling if there's any truth to any of them. But who are these sources? At the very least, there seem to be a fair number of people who can be plausibly labeled "insiders" and who are gleefully passing along rumors of serious presidential angst. What's going on?

It seems that FoxNews has been much rougher on him lately too. Very odd. And kinda fun, but odd.

yeah, I'm actually enjoying watching the news again.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Human Events is more likely the "number one conservative mouthpiece" or whatever. Let's not forget the Wash Times, while unquestionably deeply conservative, is owned by the Moonies, not the GOP.

And yet, it reprints RNC memos, verbatim, as news.
