Buffy: A Guide, but no water or food. So it leads me to the sacred place and then a week later it leads you to my bleached bones? Giles: Buffy, really. It takes more than a week to bleach bones.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I third.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oof, that sucks, msb. Can you not get someone to email them to you or something?

But they did have Ronnie, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny Gill (AKA Greasiest man in captivity).

I'm still kind of sad I didn't go see that when they were here. My first concert was BBD, Johnny Gill, and Keith Sweat. I could have gone almost full-circle!

In a nice bit of internet synchronicity, Overheard in New York has a TLC-related bit today.

Actually, we got started on TLC because I was laughing about a conversation on the comments of the OiNY lj feed.

Will someone please tell these girls that if it were so important that I be at this party, it could have been at a better date or place. It wasn't important at all, you just decided that now you can guilt me into it without any bending on anyone else's part.

What's the number? I'll totally call.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Actually, we got started on TLC because I was laughing about a conversation on the comments of the OiNY lj feed.

You know, I had a feeling when I posted that that might be the case.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

My school has just made extensive changes resulting in an "enhanced web-based self service system, where students, faculty and staff can access information and utilize online features to help make the student experience a positive and rewarding one."*

So far, what this has meant is that things that I used to be able to check online at any time with no hassle (like the schedule of courses offered next semester), I now have to log in to check, and apparently it's only available until 9 PM anyway. Or possibly 8. Not now, anyway. Grumble.

I'm sure it'll be very helpful, and there are always inconveniences with upgrades, but just right now... grr.

(*By the way, although I'm quite fond of this school, I'd like to point out that the things that make a student experience a positive and rewarding one are not even vaguely connected to the things they've changed.)

I'm glad someone understands me, amych.
