Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday sumi!

Argh...am having a bit of aggravation with Netflix at the moment. One of the disks I have out is unplayable past a certain point. I went online, told them the problem, and sent them back the disk. Replacement disk arrived today...and it's the wrong disk. It's not even a disk from my queue. grumph.(This is not helping my tension any.)

The first TLC album was killer. Back when they dressed like crazy people and Left Eye wore a condom in her Dwayne Wayne flip up glasses. Good times.

And now I'm earwormed with Gin and Juice, which is unfortunately battling it out with Coldplay and that's a mash up nobody needs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I prefer hard-abbed silk-clad TLC myself, although the initial iteration was fun.

Whatever happened with their reality show? Did they find an L?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I have heard of Matisyahu because he was profiled in an article by Deborah Caldwell, called "Yo! Or is it Oy?" (I think it was the New York Times, but I forget.) It was really an article about the mix-and-match urban culture environment, and a Matisyahu sighting was the opening scene.

It is also the third-funniest partly-Yiddish title I've seen, after the non-fiction book Boychiks in the Hood (about Hasidim in New York) and "Shvitz! The Yiddishe workout" (a video for learning Yiddish, or possibly aerobics, or both, and might be apocryphal).

I don't know. But in one episode that I saw they did take the future arsonists to see a New Edition reunion concert, so props for that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Today, a guy I know and adore told me, "you have to remember, men are peacocks."

And I was totally floored. It never occurred to me before. I think he's right.

My problem is that I'm not peacocky enough.

Was Bobby performing?

My problem is that I'm not peacocky enough.

Have you ordered the shoes yet?

No Bobby. He was off being himself on Bravo. But they did have Ronnie, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny Gill (AKA Greasiest man in captivity).

It'll do, it'll do...which just reminded me of something I heard once (and can't remember where)--"It's so hot it made Bobby brown and Keith sweat."

Cracks me up every time. Sometimes things are simple.

Almost done the charter, almost done.
