Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He's hanging out the side! Trying to holler at me!

Do we allow drivers to holler at us? Is that okay? Never mind how they trash talk about guys who walk.

Always Anti-fascist!

It's not even his car, right? Which I think they think makes it worse.

Without context, this is a very odd read.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can't actually speak for T-Boz, Chili, or Left Eye, but I prefer no hollering at me at all.

Crap, now I'm really overthinking this: the passenger is on the sidewalk side of the car, and also I really don't want the driver hanging out of the car, for safety.

ANYWAY. Now I have a headache, but all I have to take is Excederin, and it's way too late in the day for that. Bah.

It's funny -- I remember, more than once, getting into a vocal defense of Bills, Bills, Bills while maintaining it was way different from No Scrubs. I love

I don’t want your number (no)
I don’t want to give you mine and (no)
I don’t want to meet you nowhere (no)
I don’t want none of your time and (no)

And would have it printed out on cards to fling at the applicable guys who push it too far. But half that song is, to me, about needing a rich man who drives and doesn't walk or ride, and that got up my nose.

Where Bills, Bills, Bills was just about fiscal responsibility, not actually acquisitiveness.

God, can I go home yet?

I still like "Ain't Nothing Going On But The Rent," too.

God, can I go home yet?

Yes.

-- God.

Are You There God? It's Me, ita, And I Need A Note.

Jesse, what's your opinion (dammit, I can't go home before everyone's back from lunch, it's not seemly) on R-E-S-P-E-C-T as sung by a man vs. as sung by a woman?

I would enjoy that. I don't expect anything extra by virtue of being a girl.
