'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

If I only had a brain...

I recommend relocating elsewhere.

But I LURVE the Bay Area.

Out to do groceries.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I ended up taking a rather longer drive than I intended to on my way to the bank, because the route I knew was closed for paving, of all things. And the local police didn't do anything like set up DETOUR signs, oh no. So I drove through mysterious streets of one-ways and dead ends, missed my turn back onto the main street after the paving ended and wandered some more, including through a cemetary and a golf course.

During my drive I happened upon what may be the most unfortunate name for a business ever, at least in my own personal experience. It was so new that it still had a "Grand Opening" sign on the storefront. It was a sun-tanning parlor... named "Blisters."

As God is my witness, I am not making this up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Terrified children didn't know what to do as they watched a young boy hang himself from a tree at the 8:45 p.m. screening.

OK, that's pretty bad, but isn't 8:45 a little late for a 5 year old to start watching a movie??

On a Friday, all bets are off. Let the kid stay up late, and you may be able to sleep late.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Apparently, Oprah didn't believe Tom when he appeared on her show.

"I was not buying — not buying or not buying," Winfrey said of Cruise's declarations of love. "That's why I kept saying to 'you're gone, you're really gone.'"

Besides, it's NYC, the city that never sleeps. Evidently, including the kids.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Apparently, Oprah didn't believe Tom when he appeared on her show.

I read that he's gone into overdrive trying to recruit her for Scientology. Big mistake, as people who consider themselves godesses rarely look for other religions to follow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was turning the lamp on with the wall switch when there was a flash and no more light. Of course, I've turned it on and off so many times, who knows if it's off or on? That's another part of the differential diagnosis I'm not looking forward to -- moving the lamp to another outlet.

I may just read by flashlight.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I was turning the lamp on with the wall switch when there was a flash and no more light.

This is a classic sign of "I, your valiant lightbulb, desperately clung to life during the lamp's long dormancy, but as illumination came once more, nay, it was too much, and I expired."

It's a lot less irritating when table-lamps pull that melodramatic crap than when it's the overheads.

It is now quite dark outside. There comes a point in autumn when you have to trick yourself into uncoupling the equation of dark with night, or else you never, ever get your errands done. That said, I did my errands in daylight, and it's cold out, and I have hot chocolate and a lazy cat and an armful of library books.
