Damn. Kansas Board of Education approved the "intelligent design" school standards (out of the 8 Republicans and 2 Democrats on the board, six of the Repubs approved and two joined with the Demos in voting against them).

Thanks for the rec, Jilli. I don't know if I should bother trying, though. Maybe I should stick to browns and burgundies.
Go to your local MAC counter and try on the different versions. That's what the counter staff is there for.
Jilli! How much does Greenwood Academy charge for a haircut?
Er, I have no idea. What is this 'haircut' thing you speak of? Probably no more than $12, I would guess.
Note to self: 1) It's high time you friended Jilli on LJ.
2) Set make desire for Smashbox box. (Although I really can't afford that kind of prezzie for myself.)

That thing where they look sadly at your frizzy ends and then fix things.
Jilli, if you're needing distraction and you have skin care advice handy, could you offer any on adult acne outbreaks?
Why yes, yes I could! Get a bottle of plain, uncoated asprin. Disolve 8-12 tablets in a very small cup of water, then mix that with a very generous dollop of honey and some plain lotion. Apply the resulting goop to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes or so, then rinse clean w/ tepid water. If you want to be *really* fancy, soak green tea bags in tepid water, then apply them to your face. Lay down w/ a face full of teabags for about 15 minutes, then rinse.
Yes, I know. It all sounds crazy. But it really does work.
JZ, my first piece of advice would be to find out if in your case "adult acne" is code for rosacea. It usually is. If so, addressing the rosacea will address the acne. Once I switched over to sensitive skin cosmetics, moisturizers, and cleansers, the acne pretty much disappeared.
Note to self: 1) It's high time you friended Jilli on LJ.
Remind me of your LJ name, because I am horrible at remembering such things.
Mmmm, aspirin-honey-green tea face.
Awesome! It does sound a wee bit crazy, but if it works, it works.
eta: What is rosacea, exactly?
Mmmm, aspirin-honey-green tea face.
It really does help, tho'. Of course, when I do the aspirin-honey mask, Pete likes to stick his head around the bathroom door, shriek dramatically, then stroll away snickering.
