Damn the schedule, I'm just delighted to be getting the episodes at all. The concussion is a totally acceptable excuse for, well, practically anything, from spending the weekend curled up on the cuddle lounge not mailing DVDs out on schedule up to and including the brutal murder of Asshole Portland Man and Matt's sewer people.
Also, Aimée's elaborately sighing coworker.
On another and much more utterly frivolous topic, may I ask for hivemind makeup advice? I'm aggrieved by most of my lipstick lately. All I want is one, just one, deep true red vampy/fresh-blood/40s noir actress lipstick, the more permanent the better. All the truest reds I have smear off within minutes, and all the super-permanent ones I've tried pink up on my lips, no matter how red they look in the tube.
Seriously, you're being really nice about it all.
Well, it honestly saves me a 3-hour commute and $20 in gas every day that I stay in Jonesboro, not to mention making Mom feel all needed, so it's not undiluted altruism on my part. But I do like having access to my own computer and home entertainment setup. I just think I like having access to functional plumbing more.

The degrees of First Worldliness.
I agree.

NARS Scarlet Empress. Line & color in your lips w/ a neutral, lip-colored lip liner, then apply the lipstick. Blot your lips on a tissue. Apply another coat, then blot again.
I had a lipcolour epiphany of sorts -- I've been hunting for a true red and a soft pink. The closest I've come to a soft pink is from the Smashbox box that Kristen recommended a couple months ago -- the combo of pencil and lipgloss -- but when I wipe it off, it's nothing like pink on the tissue. Much darker, browner. Enough that I know I can never find pink by myself. Not only does stuff have to play off my surrounding skin tone, my lips are pretty dark themselves, and not the same colour as my face.
Being a girl is so complicated.
remembering our trip to Sephora, that was some fun.

That was the red I wore as Tinkerbell. I've never actually worn it otherwise. It feels...I don't know. Maybe I'm not that woman.
ita, have you looked at any of the VivaGlam colors by MAC? They have a holiday edition compact of all of them, and they look like the sorts of colors you're seeking.
I want that compact, and if I am working by then, you bet your boots I am so freaking getting it.
I want Jilli's make up brain.
I also want kids who nap, but I'll settle for ones who watch tv.
That's right. I am the bad tv-is-my-babysitter mom!
