When I was a kid, the Catholic schools got 11/1 for All Saints.
We never did. All Saints was a school day at Cascia. As was Easter Monday (though we did get Good Friday off).

We used to get All Saints off in Chile, too. Catholicism has got to be good for something.
There is only one person at work dressed up for Halloween. She came in her bathrobe, slippers and curlers and it is awesome. I am kinda crushin' on her right now. Not a good look for a party at a club, though.

When I was a kid, the Catholic schools got 11/1 for All Saints.
The Catholic school on my block when I was a kid in suburban Chicago always got Nov. 1 off for All Saints Day. It seemed entirely unfair that they got my birthday off and I didn't. Also, the parochial school kids liked to come to the public school and make faces at us through the window on days that they had off that we didn't.
