The magazine had a big headline, "Beat the Robot!" with a subheading of, "Does your animal have what it takes to beat the great chessmaster robot, Ice Cream 9000? Enter the Animal Chess Tournament and fine out!" The family was excited. They practiced with Joe for the weeks before the tournament.
