Okay, this is pretty neat:
Most time capsules involve cramming stuff into a metal box and burying it in a hole in the ground. It's a method that works --but it's so primitive. What if you could write an email to yourself, and be assured of receiving it twenty years in the future?
That's what we've done with this email time capsule. Simply fill out the fields below, decide how long you want the capsule to be sealed for, and hit send. We'll do our best to make sure the message gets delivered.
Assuming, of course, that 20 years from now we're still using email and not beaming text messages directly into the chips in each others' brains.
And that we have the same email addresses in 20 years. Which seems ... unlikely.
And that this company (or organization) is still around. And that they haven't lost the data.
Pardon the sudden topic, but - is there really such a thing as people one can hire to come clean and organize one's abode? And if so, where would I be likely to find one?
Jesse, you wanted a scatter chart. With lines.
I broke. I gave in and took migraine meds. I realise it's not a macho game, but I'm more than halfway through my meds for this 30 day period, and I don't want to charge through them. I was hoping to make it through the weekend free. Almost.
Merry Maids is not the cheapest but they are bonded and insured. Which turned out to be a good thing when they chemicaled my old tub and it had to be refinished. It was the only issue I ever had with them and I don't think the reaction showed up until after they'd been gone for a couple of hours.
ugh, ita. I'm sorry you didn't make it, but I am hope the meds make you feel better.
Wasn't Merry Maids one of the companies in Nickle and Dimed? Ours was recommended by Mr. Jane's boss's maid. I love her. She brings her kids, and occasionally we get to play with them, though usually she wants us gone because we get in her way.
I have to go vote on Tuesday against a proposition that's just flat out mean.
Can you write "Not nice!" on the ballot? Maybe shake wee fists of fury?
Merry Maids did a fantastic job cleaning up my old apartment and house when I moved out of them. Reasonable prices and I got my security deposit back from the apt.
