"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Perhaps a litte (PG-ish) non-worksafe, but only if you're especialy paranoid.

Er. Well, it's not porn, but there is a picture I don't really want my coworkers to see.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yes. But only if I don't have to go to work today. (I really should already be there)

But then theatre-going folk will be deprived of a well-lit show! Won't someone think of the children?!?

I want to build a rail gun. Will you help me?

One of those phrases that brings unholy chaotic glee into my life.

Bear Injures Camper at Rock Canyon Park

Yowza! That park is maybe eight miles from where I'm sitting right now! Granted, that's eight miles east and up into a mountain canyon, but still.

Every now and then I'm reminded I live in The West.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know I am a terrible employee, but! My boss just told me he's not going to have time to go over the stupid task he told me earlier needed to be done today! So I am done working. Why he was so desperate for me to come in today is beyond me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Allyson, what about a laser gun? Or is that too close to home?

Ah. I have converted my boss to my point of view re: the SQL thing, thanks to the use of a visual aid (white-board).

Occasionally I am slightly disturbed at how naturally database stuff comes to me, as it makes me feel not close to the earth.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

otoh, you're apparently very close to the tables.
