Jeez, Cash! That's astounding. It's like people WANT to get sued.
I had an email at work yesterday that said a colleague had her kid after 55 hours of labor. That's a typo, right? I mean, they'd C-Section or something before that, right?
ION, TM!Girl is not interested. Apparently there's someone else she's sort of interested in right now, so she just wants to be friends. Ah well.
OK, now that she's history I can say this. My firms entire practice is intellectual property and I couldn't stop seeing her as Trademark Girl. For sanity purposes, I'm glad to see her go. t mememe
Oh, Cashmere, that's awful!
And, before I rush of too class, it's The Last Day of Classes Sanity Prayer.
God grant me the sanity
to finish the the last couple of changes to my paper;
the patience to not kill my tutoring students;
and wisdom to remember to eat.
Amen

It's possibly not a typo. My cousin was in labor for, I think, 53 hours. The baby was crowned for much of that time. She absolutely refused a c-section. She was also on Medicaid at the time, and my aunt believed she was receiving sub-standard care.
I'm with the people who always read that as TMI Girl -- so I'm glad and clearly she doesn't deserve billytea.
billytea, have you seen Dr. Tatiana? if you were only on the same continent ....
I hope she and the baby are all right. Is the ruptured uterus something that can be repaired?
The baby's fine and in an EXCELLENT NICU--the same one my preemie (2lb) SiL was at 23 years ago. My cousin is being transferred to the same hospital today, as well. My sister seemed to think they might have performed a hysterectomy because the damage was so severe. I hope not. I'll have to wait until I get an update to find out.
My sisters had to stop by my uncle's house first (they're taking a batch of food over there) and then they were heading to the hospital to see my cousin & the baby. I expect a full update.
The hospital she delievered at is notorious for fuck-ups. It's a small town and I wouldn't go there unless I was dying, myself. But it's 40 minutes by ambulance to the next nearest hospital.
Timelies!
Ok - I am a day late in answering, but Trudy, yes, it appears that Mr. MG is employeed. He still has to pass the background and drug tests, but they have him scheduled to start December 27th. I'll be nervous until he is there for a week or two...
Cash - I'm glad your cousin and baby are doing well. That is traumatic.
bt - TM!girl does not know what she is missing.
vw - I hate fluffing papers just to meet a "minimum". If I've covered the topic sufficiently, I hate adding BS to meet a word or page count.
Cashmere, I am so grateful they are both alright.
