Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, good. I didn't sleep ALL night.

Mostly lurking...

Poor WS!

ION, I just ordered the binding spirals for the cookbooks. So exciting! Gotta love the late-night (or early morning) shopping!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the cookbook! Go vw!

Is it just the weirdness of the hour and sleep deprivation that makes me start wondering if - with 3+ years of actual classes, and 6 years of work in my chosen field including some supervisory experience - I could find some "online university" to get a "life experience" based degree at?

ETA: Yeah, I know the thing is possible. The real question is, how distasteful would it be?

ETA2: It's 4:40 my time, and I've been awake for an hour.

Another thing I am pondering is, should I buy a bunch of raw crystals and semi-precious stones off Ebay or wherever, make 'em into jewelry, and try to sell them.

ETA: Considering I just bought a flat of pint jars the other week with a view to giving homemade skin cream to everyone I know for Christmas, and now have lost my nerve due to the utter lack of emulsification of the last batch I made for myself and Daniel (OK, so aloe JUICE really can't be substituted for aloe GEL) - I dunno if I have the confidence to actually do this. Not to mention all the other neglected projects I have.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

WS, can you not get some aloe gel and try again before you give up? I think homemade gifts are always lovely.

I have slept rather poorly, dreaming of holding red-tailed hawks and seeing a lion and holding his poor 2 legged cub in my hand and participating in a period piece movie or something that required costumes. All because it's snowing and I'm not sure whether we are going to go in or call it off, even though I'm pretty sure we'll just call it off since it's supposed to snow the heaviest this morning when are appointments are. Meanwhile I am awake and not sure I'll be able to go back to sleep.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey--other people!

I need to be sleep deprived for an EEG today, and, well, so far I'm just grumpy. EEG's not till noon. This should be fun.

Your dreams sound interesting, d.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I have no school today (Snow day!)

Why, then, could I not get back to sleep after getting the call?

Been up for an hour. Would normally not even be up yet. Grrr.

Oof, ita. No fun.

Can you curl up with a book and a drink of something hot and non-caffeinated, Debet?

What is even happening?

I woke up at 3:50am. Sleep deprivation ought to be transferable from those who don't need it, to those who do.

What can we do to keep you awake, and degrump you, ita?

That's so nice, Cindy! I don't think degrumping is possible, sadly, since I woke up into a headache. And I'm not allowed ginger ale. Doesn't seem fair does it?

My first stab at keeping awake is going through provocateuse submissions and putting those up.

Then I'll try TV and perhaps food.
