[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm getting the pig!

Woot for red hair, sj! Too bad I went dark brunette or else we'd be twins again.

Tomorrow my coworker dies. Especially since I need gas desperately and my normal station doesn't take checks.

Tep, glad you're home safe. You're welcome to choke my bitch coworker any time you want. I'll even pay for your flight.

sj, I'm heading over to yahoo!IM Right Now!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

The 13-mile (I just checked on Google maps) commute that generally takes me 20-ish minutes took me 4 hours and 15 minutes.

Ho.Lee.Crap. I just got home myself. My usual 45 minute commute from school (about 15-20 miles) took me 2 full hours. Compared to 4 hours? That's nothing.

My uncle is stuck in Denver for at least three hours on his way from Oregon to Chicago

Uh. Oh. I've heard the delays at O'Hare are over 2 hours. Midway is virtually closed down because a plane had a bad landing and busted through the fence and ended up on the street. No one on the plane was hurt, but I heard 3 people on the street were wounded when their cars got hit by the plane.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm glad you're home, Teppy. But DAMN, that sucks. I managed to still get across town at the end of rush hour (6:30) in about 15 minutes in about 3 inches of thick, slushy snow.

Have a glass of wine--sounds like you need it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Damn. A 737. Not a small plane.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Teppy and Chikat}}} I'm so not going in if it is bad out tomorrow. Not for retail wages. No way.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

And here, where we should have snow, it rains. Yeah for the snow days but boo for the crappy commutes.

They'd all probably work on you, but I do favor the first (and shortest) cut.

Why am I not surprised by this?

eta: Re-reading, it kind of looked like I was complaining about not getting the snow. I'm not. Really. We can keep rain. No snow or ice is fine by me.

Always Anti-fascist!

I would be snotty and smug right now, but this is like the one time of the year when living in a soulless armpit on the surface of the sun works out. But I still have to be *here* so, really? Not ahead by much.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Adding it all up, tonight I have drunk an ENTIRE BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE. Maybe a little more.

This year's holiday party = better than last year's.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Uh. Oh. I've heard the delays at O'Hare are over 2 hours. Midway is virtually closed down because a plane had a bad landing and busted through the fence and ended up on the street.
Yeah, I suspect he is stranded in Denver for the night. He's a priest and doing the services so he wanted to get in as early as possible to just be there for the family. Looks like all of the siblings and cousins will be arriving tomorrow after all.

Oh, he's calling now. Let's eavesdrop and see what happens... [time passes] Flight's cancelled.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The 13-mile (I just checked on Google maps) commute that generally takes me 20-ish minutes took me 4 hours and 15 minutes.

Lord, Teppy. I'd be a raving, sobbing, drooling maniac.
