Reynolds, I'm a dangerous-minded man on a ship loaded with hurt. Now, why you got me chatting with your peons?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Cripes, MG, how does that happen??

I gave up waiting for someone to pick up the phone, and finally managed to get transferred to the nurse's voicemail. This would be why I'm never going back to that office.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

She was supposed to have surgery Tuesday - a procedure that should take from 30-60 minutes. The surgeon got backed up and it was cancelled.

She went in yesterday evening and was supposed to be scheduled for 8pm. Yeah, 8pm.

Then DH got a call around 10pm that the surgery didn't happen, but they were going to keep her and do it this morning.

Well, I have been trying to reach her all morning to no avail. I spoke with the nurses station who told me that she was not in the room that admitting said she was supposed to be in. That they never had a patient in that room.

Gah!!!! I've called her cell. I've called her doctor's office...no luck so far...

Ok, I'm so undermotivated about work I don't even want to go cash my paycheck.

I had brownies for breakfast, and I am overdue for foraging for lunch in a time frame that actually features me getting to work on time.

ETA: Yes, MG, being freaked is a rational reaction. And at the same time, I'm sure your mom is fine. Possibly bored out of her gourd and wondering where the heck YOU are, but fine.

Ok, I just decided, lunch is going to be cheese and pumpernickle bread (Daniel bought me some yesterday, isn't he thoughtful!). Possibly some carrots and dip, too.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

That'll teach me for thinking "food poisoning" was an over-exaggeration.

Blech.

I'm getting the pig!

MG, kick some ass. Seriously. That's unacceptable.

Continued job~ma for Beth's DH and Calli and MG's DH!

Ten minutes is more than long enough to wait on hold with a dr's office, Jess. Five minutes is my cut-off.

Chipotle burrito was just delivered to my desk. Yum!

Edit: Sorry Aimee. I didn't mean to post about food right after you'd posted. Are you okay now?

Ok, spoke with the nurse again who said she HAD been in that room from 12:30am to 6:30am, but that is when they sent her down for surgery.
