Saffron: I'll die. Mal: Well, as a courtesy, you might start getting busy on that, 'cause all this chatter ain't doin' me any kindness.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The hospital has misplaced my mother and I'm trying not to freak out.

How do they misplace a PERSON?

Maidengirl, you have my permission to freak out all over their incompetent asses until they find your mother.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Look in the closet.

A hospital once left my elderly grandmother on a bedpan for 3 hours. Not the same as LOSING HER, but still.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

blargh, I ate too much lunch and I'm full and it's sunny and I'm sleepy and I still have so much work to do on my paper!

MG, the hospital once lost my mother - she came in as an emergency and it took a while for her to get into their system. They did find her ... a mixed blessing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{MG}}} You have the right to freak out. Kick their asses until you get some answers.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Cripes, MG, how does that happen??

I gave up waiting for someone to pick up the phone, and finally managed to get transferred to the nurse's voicemail. This would be why I'm never going back to that office.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

She was supposed to have surgery Tuesday - a procedure that should take from 30-60 minutes. The surgeon got backed up and it was cancelled.

She went in yesterday evening and was supposed to be scheduled for 8pm. Yeah, 8pm.

Then DH got a call around 10pm that the surgery didn't happen, but they were going to keep her and do it this morning.

Well, I have been trying to reach her all morning to no avail. I spoke with the nurses station who told me that she was not in the room that admitting said she was supposed to be in. That they never had a patient in that room.

Gah!!!! I've called her cell. I've called her doctor's office...no luck so far...

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ok, I'm so undermotivated about work I don't even want to go cash my paycheck.

I had brownies for breakfast, and I am overdue for foraging for lunch in a time frame that actually features me getting to work on time.

ETA: Yes, MG, being freaked is a rational reaction. And at the same time, I'm sure your mom is fine. Possibly bored out of her gourd and wondering where the heck YOU are, but fine.
