Hec, I cannot believe you let juliana's comment about the frostbite pass without jumping in with SF pimpage, describing just how balmy it's been today in SF and reminding her that soon, so very soon, frostbite will be a thing of the distant past for her.
According to my car's temp gauge, it was 37 in Belmont when I left the house a little before 8:30 this morning.
Just noting that the Weather Channel predicted a high of 37 in DC today.
OK. Winter's gone on long enough. I'm ready for spring.
Juliana is a winter girl, though, and will miss the snow and the chill. She is happy to be leaving before it gets old.
When I first moved to Montreal, sometime in October I asked "Why doesn't winter start until December 21st? It's plenty cold now."
Oh, they laughed and laughed, and come February, I understood why.

Winter made a brief appearance here and has gone, maybe to return in next month. The high for Saturday is 70F.
This has been a very warm winter and we broke the record high at least one day in November.
I'm inside and I have a lemon bar. I am happy.
The temperature here is 45F. If I bitch about the cold, maybe the gods of irony will make that job in Copenhagen come through for me.
