Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I could also use some health~ma for a coworker's grandson. He was at a birthday party this weekend when he and another boy got on the parents' treadmill. Even though it was one of those that should only turn on when there's a card in place the boys somehow managed to get treadmill turned on.

My coworker's grandson fell off, but his shirt got caught in the treadmill and before the adults he suffered from 1st degree rug burns on his arms and hands. (My co worker and her son and daughter in law don't blame the other parents for this, they realize it was just an accident).

The little boy is 3 yrs old and he doesnt' seem too tramautized, and they thought he was healing okay, but today the doctor wants a plastic surgeon to look over one place on his arms.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I so need a mirror that I can flip to a different setting and still see behind me.

which is why I prefer driving the VUE through the canyon rather than my SL2. It took me awhile to convince DH that if you are driving a taller vehicle - you need to leave a little more space between you and the shorter car in front of you- so you don't blind them. but he drove the SL2 through the canyon once - and he learned.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

This works for me, saying, "OK, folks, I have this ____ I need to concentrate on, and I need some quiet to do that for a little while."

this would be cool, except that she does it randomly, in intervals, every day that she's here (she's part time)

Even though it was one of those that should only turn on when there's a card in place the boys somehow managed to get treadmill turned on.

SUE! SUE! (not the parents, the manufacturer of the treadmill)

Librarian Warlord

I have two very good friends in Rochester, (one a Buffy watcher, but not a Buffista) and I've been known to visit them. In the Summer.

Yay for Tampa airport, having free wifi!

Boo for USAir not having an earlier flight home. Hmph. I finished hours earlier than I thought I would, and got to the airport about...um. ...four hours before my flight? Have had lunch, read here, LJ, mail, other stuff...I have a super long book, but I"m a fast reader and dread finishing it in the middle of the flight! Time to start reading NYTimes!

Because books.

I was in the Tampa airport yesterday! At, like, 7 a.m.

I had no laptop, though, so the free wifi wasn't something to yay about.

Really Amy? How funny! I'm sorry you had no laptop, though really, at 7AM, I'm not sure I'd be willing to risk what my fingers might type...

Yeah. I was not so much with the awake.

I was there Friday afternoon, too! And spent a lovely (warm) weekend with a friend in between.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

askye, a first degree burn isn't much worse than a sunburn. No fun, but not that serious.

4) it is way better for me to drive in evil weather because it keeps other people light s out of my car in narrow canyons.

Not to criticize any SUV owners here, but this is exactly one of the most annoying things about SUVs. You may be above other people's lights, but SUV lights are shining directly into my face (or rearview mirror).
