Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

We once had a cat that would want to go out in the snow but, once out, was disgusted by the cold and wet. She'd pick up a paw, shake it, then put it down again. Repeat with each paw. She always looked like what she really wanted was to pick up all four paws and get them all dry at once.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Snow is one of the best reasons for the Caribbean.

Where in Northern Michigan?

Alpena. Which isn't northern compared to, say, Marquette, MI, I guess. But for the lower penninsula it's kinda northern.

And in totally other news, I found out just before leaving work today that we'll probably see layoffs in the next week or so. No idea if I'll be one of them or not. I have 70+ applications out and not one interview, so any secure employment~ma hanging about would be appreciated, please.

Oh, yeah. We used to go through Tawas all the time on the way to visit my maternal grandfolks in Saganaw.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

You're damn right that's not Northern, Missy.

I know, I know. My Dad's from Carlshend (20 minutes east of Marquette).

I haven't been up there in ages. Pity--it's lovely. But after Grandpa died there wasn't as compelling a reason to go as there had been.

Also, it takes 12 million hours to drive up there. At least.

And there's only so many pasties you can buy.
