Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That which does not kill you should RUN

This is already a weird day. I'm all showered and clean and therefore ostensibly ready to dress for work and run out the door....but the hot-water tap of my bathtub decided to not turn all the way off after my shower. It's not gushing, but it's not a trickle, either.

So I called the super, and they have to turn off the water in the building to fix this particular issue, and they want to wait until 9 a.m. or so to turn off the water, so that everyone can get showers (which is thoughtful of them -- seriously). I don't want to just leave for work with my tap running, just in case it starts to run harder, or the drain backs up, or something, and causes a flood.

So here I sit, my apartment becoming humidified like crazy, sipping my coffee and listening to the gentle sound of hot water that refuses to go away.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Morning. t looks at calendar Man, it's gonna be a long month. I'm tired already! It's just going to be very busy at work, and need to write paper, and shop, and be merry. (note to Hec: I am not being anti-season! Just tired!)

Good news though, I got another A on my second exam. Well, technically, it was A/A-, whatever that means. Based on her comments, I think the paper was good, but she wanted more. Ima call it an A though, is that OK?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I am "off" today. The only thing on my schedule is therapy. But, I need to write a 4-page outline for my Computers and Humans final paper. FUN! (Not really.)

That does sound like fun. (Hint: entitle the paper "Computers are our Masters". From there it should write itself! Um. Not literally.)

Meanwhile, I have to write a page or so on the proposed privatisation of Japan's Post Office before I go to bed. And get up early. And see the dentist tomorrow. Fun!!

Steph, that is a weird start to the day.

Nora, I TOTALLY know what you mean. It is gonna be a long month. But, on the other hand, I think it's going to go very fast.

on edit: billytea, the paper will be fun. I'm just not looking forward to writing as detailed of an outline as he wants.

That's good. They've chosen you to be part of their program to create a race of cyborgs, the old-fashioned way.

All is well that ends in pizza.

So I called the super, and they have to turn off the water in the building to fix this particular issue, and they want to wait until 9 a.m. or so to turn off the water

And maybe they can put in a required shut-off valve or two in the line while they are at it.
