Do you know what else has blood in it? Blood.

Spike ,'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ok...I can't deny it, but I can refund it. Would you like me to try that?

All is well that ends in pizza.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Go Emily! Knock 'em dead! If the enthusiasm for teaching that comes across here is apparent in the interview, they will love you.

I hope that works! I'm just so nervous -- this is a good school, and they have really high expectations of their students and the teachers. Add to that the fact that I'd be teaching the very highest-level classes, and coming in (I think) in the middle of the school year, and I get very very nervous. I mean, it'll work out either way -- if I get it, fantastic! and if I don't, well, it'll be something of a relief -- but I really would like to do well in the interview just because it's my first job interview in six years, apart from anything else.

Also, I just realized that if I'm going to apply for a scholarship for the spring (if I don't get the job, I will be unemployed), I need to write a 1-2 page paper about my commitment to education tonight. My commitment to education? Er, I switched from a potentially high-paying field for it? I think it's the best path to social justice, as well as a sometime ditch of boredom and despair? I believe the children are our future? What do you want from me?

Also, should it be double-spaced? Hmmm... they're not going to give it back, after all.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Teach them well and let them lead the way, Emily. And double space.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I usually err on the side of the double space. It's easier to read.

Yeah? Even in a scholarship application?

...excellent.

Paypal website help says it can't cancel a payment that has been acccepted. The problem is the nearest branch of that bank (Bank One) is hundreds of miles away, and no way to transfer from a different bank.

I didn't accept the payment, but then again, it didn't give me that option.

I'm sorry! I don't know what to do...
