I was always amazed that my friend who lost an eye could still drive. He had problems with depth perception, but somehow was able to compensate.
I'm nearly blind in my right eye (hello Mr. High Fever, goodbye Mr. Optic Nerve) and have little in the way of traditional depth perception, but it's never caused any problem. Apparently, what happens is that I take my depth cues by how things move in parallax when I move my head to shift my point of view. I also look to my right a lot.
Exciting news, Emily! Congratulations.
Go Emily! Knock 'em dead! If the enthusiasm for teaching that comes across here is apparent in the interview, they will love you.
My grampa was blind in one eye, and he managed to shoot birds out of the sky. Depth perception is a funny thing.
I have been productivity girl today. I got my neice a birthday present and hannukah gifts, got the electricity at the new place in my name, scheduled a Direct TV installation, and started the process of getting SBC to give us phone and internet service. I forgot to mail my appeal letter to FEMA, but I've got 53 more days to do that in, tomorrow is soon enough.
VW, Can you refuse a paypal payment?
We may have accidentally sent a payment for a Buffista Cookbook from a dormant account.
Does anyone have VW's IM sig?
Wow, -t, that is productive! Go you!
Daniel, I'm right here. And my IM is ilbelle76. I think I can deny a payment. Let me go in and see.
Ok...I can't deny it, but I can refund it. Would you like me to try that?
Interview-ma Emily!
